Understanding the Documentation Column

The Documentation column appears in different positions depending on the workflow.

Export workflow

Export board stages:

Manifest / BL → Documentation → Invoice → Telex Release → Archive

• Documentation comes after manifest creation.
• Export shipments require documentation before invoicing (for origin customs and BL issuance).

Import workflow

Import board stages:

Manifest / BL → Invoice → Documentation → Delivery Order → Detention → Archive

• Documentation comes after invoicing.
• Import shipments typically handle invoicing before documentation (payment arrangements before destination customs clearance).

This difference reflects the operational reality that export and import sides of a shipment require different document timing and responsibilities.
